The 3 day First Aid at Work complies with The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, addressing first aid requirements in the workplace. 

This qualification is designed for individuals seeking formal recognition of their first aid knowledge, understanding and skills. 

The course is over 3 days and is suitable for those working or intending to work in various organisations where employers are legally required to provide first aid provision.

The qualification comprises 2 mandatory units, covering essential first aid topics such as roles and responsibilities, incident assessment and administering first aid to casualties in diverse situations. 

These situations include breathing difficulties, choking, bleeding, shock, minor injuries, burns, scalds, poisoning, illness, and anaphylaxis.

The objectives of this qualification are to prepare learners for progression to higher-level qualifications in the same subject area, align with relevant learning programs, ready learners for employment and support their roles in the workplace.
